As a general whole, humans do like to blame others for their wrong doing instead of accepting that they made a mistake.
A lot of people who start to research astrology soon learn their negative traits, which they then accept that it is something that they cannot change.
In my opinion this is one of the worst things anyone can do with such amazing insight.
It takes some people a lot of internal reflection and study to realize how they actually are, so to abuse such knowledge is an egotistical act. Even from a non-astrological point of view, when anyone continues negative habits whilst knowing what they are doing, this is a toxic concoction which can lead one to being manipulative and domineering.
Whilst there are planetary placements which are classified as being in their "detriment" and "fall", there are pros and cons to everything. There are even cons to placements that are in their most comfortable spot!
The most basic example of this is Sun in Leo. The Sun is our core personality, and being in Leo it is easy for those with this placement to let their warm, generous personality through. The negative trait of this placement is being overbearing, self-obsessed and over dramatic.
It is important to take into our stride that no one is perfect, as it is impossible to be perfect - and this is OK. We are all here just exploring Life, but to not work on our own Selves won't be of any benefit.
The same thing can be said in regards to those who are familiar with astrology and become bias towards others for knowing their placements. An avoidance of using the astrological labels in a biased manner is crucial. "Oh, I won't bother talking to her, as she has Sun in Gemini and Mars in Scorpio so she is probably a bitch". This is the bias we want to avoid all together, as this is abusing the knowledge and craft of Astrology.
If you do become bias, this will only reflect on what kind of person you are, not what they are. These planetary combinations are only one of many potentials which they can manifest into. You are not the only person trying to better yourself; everyone is too. We are all at different stages of life and spiritual evolution. It would be hypocritical for someone on a path of self discovery to be condescending to another who has not taken that path themselves yet. It completely defeats the purpose.
Again, the same thing can be said for when transit planets go retrograde.
Retrograde is not synonymous with the negative. It simply refers to when we need to have inner reflection on certain areas and aspects in life.
It still amazes me seeing all of the merchandise and posts on social media that have catchy captions such as "Mercury retrograde made me do it" or "Mercury retrograde is coming, so wake me up when it is over". For starters, all the planets go retrograde, not just Mercury, so I'm not sure why Mercury is getting all the lime light, as it goes retrograde regularly.
More importantly - if you make mistakes, that is solely on you, not what transit is happening or what placement you have.
This is the very reason why I regularly use the quote "A wise man rules his stars, but a fool obeys them".
Know how to work your placements and transits, make them your bitch.
